"I was born in Puno and I grew up in Juliaca, where I learned to appreciate our culture's rich folklore and our artistic and musical essence.

"I've always loved jewelry and I've always believed that each piece of jewelry reflects the value of the artisan who crafted it. I strongly believe in art, and to me, the creation of a piece of jewelry is an embodied moment of inspiration of invaluable intrinsic meaning. Especially when you consider its artistic process too.

"I love the fact that my designs combine the mystical and the modern. My creations are intended for today's woman who likes eye-catching, high quality jewelry. The most challenging aspect is that no matter how difficult you think a piece might be, they are all crafted by hand. This way no two pieces are identical and this is what characterizes my work.

"I studied at the Peruvian Institute of Jewelry and as I studied the different techniques I began to develop my own style and I also evolved in other aspects of a personal nature.

"Setting up my own venture has been a challenge. I always counted on my husband and daughter's unconditional support. They were always there for me and encouraged my pursuits. The administrative implications of having my own venture have also been a considerable challenge including setting up schedules as well as health and safety regulations.

"I work with silver, gold and Peruvian gemstones, and I make the respective alloys to ensure I have silver .950 and .925, as well as 18k gold.

"Other than designing jewelry I also teach, I create opportunities for employment and I endeavor to create a nice working environment. My designs transmit Peruvian art, and I represent my country."
