Chris Ako Charway
Chris Ako Charway abandoned his ambition to be a professional football player in order to study art. Over the years he has developed a distinctive style which is based on exploiting the endless possibilities of the artist's brush. His skill with the brush puts aggressive muscles on the fisherman at "La Beach," gives fluid movement to "Musicians at Play" or "Muslims at Prayer" and delicately creates a storm around a village hut.

In his latest paintings, Charway creates movement without the human form. Some admirers call this "the Invisible Man" technique - a splendid innovation. He is most comfortable with acrylics on paper, although there are a few canvas works in his exhibition.

Since 1990, Charway has participated in numerous art exhibits in Ghana and in the USA. Some of these venues include First PAFAM (Pan-African Historical Theatre Festival), National Expo, the Golden Tulip Hotel, Fort Frederick Museum, St Croix, Virginia (USA), The Loom, the Second ECOWAS Fair, and many others.
