Latest Update

?In the year 2009, I joined Novica. Novica made me believe it was possible that my art could travel around the world. Novica has shaped my experience and has made me understand my customers very well. Working with Novica as a painter has made me more capable and very competitive because there are a lot of great artists in West Africa and around the world. That has really kept me on my feet and inspired me a lot.

?In regard to success, I have been able to achieve exposure in my industry and it's all because of the good marketing and advertising that Novica does for me. When it comes to financing, Novica has always been my source.

?The biggest challenge I have faced was being frustrated when my sales drop, or when reality didn't meet expectations. Sometimes I create a wonderful artwork and expect it to sell quickly, but sometimes it doesn't work as I planned and this has been one of my challenges. I have to learn to believe in time and patience to avoid being frustrated.

?I have moved from the place I started painting, and now I rent a much better place to work. I have been able to teach many students and have also been employed to train school students to paint. Working with Novica has improved my life so much and has brought me money. I have been awarded in art competitions.

?At this moment, my personal goal is to travel around the world and to make more sales and art collections. I hope that you will keep supporting me and buying my artwork because it gives me confidence and courage to do more, and I promise to serve you with all the best in me.?

Original Artist Story

"I am Joseph Adibleku, a painter whose inspiration comes from social milieu and from colors. My style can be described as abstract. My desire to paint awakened in me at a tender age and I can say it is a natural talent because I don't have any knowledge of anyone in my family who is into painting.

"I am the seventh born in a family of seven siblings and my parents have always encouraged me to paint. They put me through college to refine my skills. Since I graduated from college I have been living off the sales of my paintings. I sell my art works through different galleries. However, this is still a great challenge for they often turn me away claiming I have yet to make a name for myself in the art world.

"Paintings should not be seen solely as art work, but also as mirrors that reflect everyday life. I use a palette knife, brushes and acrylic paints for my artwork. I have exhibited my work locally, and currently, I have three young people learning with me. I love to listen to good music and to travel for inspiration."
