Ketut Sugantika
Born in Singapadu, Ketut Sugantika studied at the Indonesia Institute of Art in Denpasar. His paintings explore colors as a symbol of human life. His abstract paintings often show a horizontal composition as a reflection of human relationships. Color itself has a psychological effect on a person, and in Sugantika's compositions they present an arrangement of color dominant in human life.
<br><br>"Singapadu for me is an interesting traditional village in Bali filled with culture and tradition. There are many artists here, which is why I want to be one of them. My parents are also artists who specialize in wood carvings. I began painting when I was in high school.
<br><br>"People say I'm a calm, creative and humorist man. I'm divorced with two children. Having children has made me more mature in thinking and they push me to be more responsible about everything. My goal now is to maximize my talent and skill to be the best.
<br><br>"<i>Make your own path to happiness because only you can create it.</i> These are the words of wisdom from my spiritual teacher that I always keep in mind.
<br><br>"My main materials are acrylics, oils and canvas. The inspiration for my paintings come from nature, the colors of life and also the imaginary world.
