"I 'paint' pictures with colorful threads. A family member works in thread art and I used to watch him. I was amazed at how he applied threads one by one to create eye-catching compositions. I'm so glad that he taught me. To master this craft, I practiced a lot, created my own designs and learned from my mistakes.

"I use silk thread and glue. Silk is slippery and becomes very difficult to work with. Sometimes I have to use more glue for it to hold and it is the most challenging part of this art.

"I love creating concepts for designs. I find inspiration in the things surrounding me, the books I read and sometimes while listening to music.

"When I partnered with someone, I experienced many difficulties so I decided to strike out on my own. It was very hard. My startup capital was a problem but a family member decided to help me financially and I started from there. Finding people to purchase my artwork was also a challenge.

"There was a time when shoppers made fun of my art and criticized it harshly. This did not bring me down and I continued with my work. During those hard times, I gave my finished pictures to another artist to sell for me. He relocated and took my works along with him, but never contacted me. This was a great loss.

"When I was in school, I was very small and my friends called me names. The one that stuck was Mosquito. Now I laugh whenever they call me that because they still do.

"One day, I hope to have a well-equipped and furnished studio to train younger artists. I want to help poor and needy artists who cannot afford the cost of art school."
