?My name is Nancy Gutierrez. I was born in Fontana, California. The beautiful textile traditions of my beloved Mexico are embodied in each member of my family. Since I was a child, spinning and dyeing yarn has been a discipline that has helped us bring bread to the table. I remember that it was an activity that I did every day after I got home from school. At first it was a game for me, but as I grew up, passion and commitment became an important part of me.<br><br> ?I understood the importance of the beautiful legacy of my family and wanted to be part of this beautiful work. What I love most about my work is the freedom I have to create color, shape and size combinations. I love to see the colors that you can create, and how to enchant the human eye. One of the materials that I love to work with the most is the wool of Borrego. It is a worthy and beautiful material from the many textile traditions of Mexico.<br><br> ?I believe that one of my sources of inspiration is and always will be my uncle, with whom I was very close. It was a difficult process to understand his passing. But he is now one of my great inspirations, not only for me but for each member of my family.<br><br> ?My family has been my great teacher and has shown me the power of passion and perseverance. Thanks to this and by observing their habits and discipline, I began to love the threads and their compositions. We leave a personal touch in everything we do; always with honestly towards ourselves.<br><br> ?Now one of my greatest wishes is to create a beautiful collection full of color, and to have a boutique where I can share my passion.
