"I was born at Ankaase in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. I had such a passion for drawing that during my childhood, I was found drawing on everything within my reach. And as I grew up, I also developed a liking for nature and the activities going on about me. The themes for my works are directly linked with our African culture and the events that take place in our everyday life.

"I began painting on paper and plywood, but now I usually use acrylics on canvas. My painting style ranges from realistic to abstract. The encouragement I receive from my family and peers and the appreciation of art collectors are an inspiration to me. I have realized that my level of thinking moves very fast.

"Getting my own studio and finding exposure for my works have been my main challenges in this profession. But my passion for painting has kept me persistent, even in the face of challenges.

"My first exhibition was in London in 2007, through a friend, Mr. Moses Donkor. I have also shown my works in Ghana. My dream is to be ranked alongside other masters of arts in the years ahead."
