Hand-carved froma single piece of sese wood that is give an amber brown finish, this African mask is created by Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu. He decorates the forehead with a brass accent and star-shaped patterns, and beads the cheeks by hand with pieces of recycled glass. This mask is named Esbuna, which means 'be happy' in the Igbo language of Nigeria.
