This magnificent mask, a depiction of the Balinese demon Barong Sai, is hand-carved from beautiful acacia wood in stunning detail. Barong Sai in Bali is a demon head that is sometimes hung on a front door to ward off evil spirits. Nyoman Indrawati Subrata of the Subrata Family crafts the image from acacia wood for rich realism. The artisan carries on the extraordinary art work of her late father, Nyoman Subrata.
