Heart's Pain

Within a shadow box of mohena wood that is hand-painted with colorful floral motifs, a black heart centers this artistic, romantic wall sculpture from Peru. Julio Gallardo creates this macabre sculpture, which he handcrafts from ceramic, giving the heart a human that reaches to gesture towards its own missing heart. Beneath the black heart, a banner reads No tengo corazón, or 'I have no heart' in Spanish.
