Rising above the fort of Santo Antonio da Barra, the Barra Lighthouse dates to 1839. The picturesque tower is emblematic of the Brazilian port of Salvador in Bahia. Embraced by a sky of cloud-brushed blue, the monument is lovingly portrayed by J. Sim√µes Lopes.
