Built over 136 years ago by the Chinese community in Chiang Mai, the shrine's architecture represents the art of ancient China. Home to Chinese deities, Pung Thao Kong is the pride of Chiang Mai. It is also known as the Harmony Center, and it has a mission to bring aid to the poorer areas of the city, as well as to victims of disasters, based on the belief of achieving the highest merit for those who donate to the less fortunate.
