By Ghana's Abdul Aziz Mohamadu, this colorful African mask is carved and painted by hand. A geometric shape flows across the forehead, bringing a message in the form of an adinkra symbol. Known as Nyinkyim, this adinkra means 'twisting' in the Twi language and is a symbol of initiative, dynamism and versatility as well as toughness or adaptability.
