In combined hues of smoke, indigo, and sky blue, zigzags and geometric motifs decorate the body of this travel bag, handwoven of cotton on the telar de cintura, or backstrap loom in the style of Guatemalan textiles. Mirian Otzin designs the bag, draped on two straps. The bag opens with a tasseled zipper to a lined cotton interior in blue, complete with a zipper pocket on one side. Open pockets at either end of the bag provide space for storing small items. Says Mirian, 'I love the great variety of colors that we can appreciate in our beautiful country. Because of this I wanted to translate them in this little bag.'
