Passion for Music

Playing a melody on the xylophone, a man sings with passion and fervor. Henry Kwabena Ofori pays tribute to traditional West African musician with this intriguing relief sculpture. He faithfully depicts the popular instrument that is crafted of calabash gourds, wood and string. Mounted on a velvet wall panel, the piece is framed in sapele wood.
