Located east of the Niger Delta, the Ogoni people of Africa enjoy a rich and vibrant mask culture. Ghana's Christopher Nyasafo designs this mask in the style of the Ogoni people's, traditionally used for entertainment, funerals, harvest festivals, as well as for judicial practices. This mask is hand-carved from sese wood and rubbed with clay, depicting a face with round eyes and a European-style black hat. Hair of natural jute peeks out from under the hat.
