The Guro tribe of Cote d'Ivoire are well-known for their fine artistic sense, and they are prolific mask-makers. Salihu Ibrahim of Ghana presents a beautiful Guro-style mask, hand-carved of native sese wood. The almond-shaped eyes and the mark on the forehead (representing the scarification that Guro men have)are characteristic of such masks.
