Store accessories and keepsakes in this charming decorative box from Ghanaian artisan Ralph Ashong. Hand carved from Cape cedar wood, the black box is patterned with geometric engravings on all four sides and opens to a single compartment that is perfect for small items. The indigo lid of the box is adorned with an adinkra symbol called biribi wo soro, an Akan word meaning 'hope.' Adinkra symbols are believed to have their origin an ancient kingdom that once stood where Ivory Coast is today in West Africa.
