West African artist Abdul Aziz Mohamadu hand carves this colorful mask from sese wood and names it Sipho, meaning 'gift' in Zulu. Mohamadu uses local tools to carve the shape of the mask from one piece of sese wood, then dries it for two weeks before painting. This original mask design includes a face with black and green features, a brass plate in the middle of the forehead, and a red and blue bird on the top of the head.
