Artisan Chander Kant displays his mastery of the jali openwork carving technique in this marvelous sculpture. A bright-eyed owl family perches in and around a broad sheltering tree. Four of the birds, carved with the jali technique, feature tiny carved owls within their centers. The artisan's attention to detail is breathtaking.
