Krishna and the Tree of Life

The spreading branches of the Tree of Life are covered with verdant foliage. Leading villagers in its veneration, Krishna with his blue 'cloud complexion' sings. Exploring the co-existence of living creatures with their environment, Devendra Kumar Jha paints the joyous scene in bold, jewel colors. He works with natural dyes on handmade paper to create a beautiful Madhubani folk art painting.
