With bright colors and eye-catching designs, this decorative African mask will make a statement on your home or office wall. Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu hand carves the mask from sese wood, paints it black, then creates a stunning mosaic out of yellow, red, blue, and white recycled plastic beads to define the eyebrows, cheeks, nose, and chin. On the domed forehead the artisan arranged four brass triangles in a star motif framing a round sea pebble. The artisan titles this mask Emyinnaya, an Igbo word that means 'father's friend.'
