Spark plugs are recycled into an expressive sculpture by Mexican artisan Armando Ramirez. He portrays a mechanic at work on the front part of a V.W. Beetle, which he crafts from a car’s ball bearings, chain and rocker arm. Metal nails and sheets serve to complete this whimsical sculpture.

Ramírez prefers not to give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.

    My husband is a mechanic and is difficult to buy for, when I saw this, it was perfect! A lot of thought went into this, and, it shows. My husband loved it. The gift wrapping was beautiful too. Perfect gift for the man who has everything.

    Our friend has spent a life-time repairing and restoring mostly Jaguars. Made of car parts, this sculpture is absolutely the funniest birthday gift we have ever given him! It is beautifully made and so clever. He'll love it!! Thank you to a wonderful artist.
