Ghanaian designer Akwele Suma creates an original necklace with recycled paper in a variety of colors that includes grey, cream, red, yellow and brown. Suma rolls the paper in different shapes and sizes that alternate with sese wood spacers. The necklace is long enough to wrap twice if desired.

The artist uses the paper at hand so paper colors will vary, making each design a unique example of handcrafted art. These beads receive a protective coat of clear nail polish.
