A panel of embossed brass forms the 'third' eye of this African mask from Ghana. Designed and crafted by Abdul Aziz Mohamadu, this mask is hand-carved from a single piece of sese wood, painted brown and rubbed with clay for a rustic finish. Embossed brass further accentuates the cheeks of this mask, which is named Jamuike, meaning 'motivate me' in the Igbo language of Nigeria.
