Butterfly Turtle

We bought this as a gift for our daughter who is a marine biologist. It was beautifully made.

Every special set of earrings or rings - those small favorite things of ours always at the risk of getting lost - needs a special box that WON'T get lost or fail to get our notice (with a smile. It's hard not to smile back to this wee turtle!!). The box is light, almost the lightness of one of those oldfashioned wooden planes kids used to fly. The painting itself is exquisitely playful, playfully lovely, whimsical. I gave this jewelry box as a gift~ and, upon visiting the recipient, I was delighted to see the wee turtle given center stage surrounded by lights!

Turtles are my favorite creatures and butterflies are my Mom?s favorite creatures, so the two together are very special to me. The artwork is gorgeous and puts a smile on my face everyday I look at it.

This item was a very successful birthday gift. It was beautiful and very good quality.

It is very well made and the detail and colors are wonderful. It's a little hard to take apart if you want to use it as a place to store jewelry or whatever ... and as a storage container, it is a bit small. But I bought it just as an interesting and vibrant decoration.
