Ghanaian designer Winfred Ansah Okoampah works with a local artisan to create this stunning mask from local sese wood. The artisan cuts and carves the wood into Winfred's own design and the mask is then dried for weeks, before being sanded and painted. The artisan uses aluminum plate to cover the front of the mask, except for the eyes, lips and neck, which they then etch intricate details on. The result of all of this hard work is an impressive and striking arrangement, which would add a fantastic cultural accent to the home.
