"I became interested in art when I was quite young. In the university, I majored in fine art. However, it was my brother Rene who inspired me most with his passion and dedication to every activity he wanted to do. I admire and respect him greatly, and he's been a role model in his tenacity and perseverance to reach his goals.

"What I enjoy most is depicting the human figure, its contours. It's an enjoyable challenge to depict it exactly as you see it in your mind.

"At first, it was complicated as I have four daughters who are my motivation in life. My purpose was to give them all a university education and it took a lot of work. Today, it's all been worth it because I achieved my goal with their studies. Today, they are behind me in every way and have become my right hand.

"Ever since I began working on my own, I've learned how enriching it is to learn from different people, from the creativity of every person, inspiration. I've had a few funny moments, too. Once I was invited to exhibit my work in a small town in Mexico. I included several paintings of nudes. When I arrived, all the exhibit rooms were open except mine.

"In each of my works, I leave a part of myself. I work in a number of techniques, and each one fascinates me. One that requires a lot of attention and observation is watercolor, as it's a delicate medium that doesn't allow for errors.

"I love what I do and I've been sharing my knowledge with others who want to learn, like someone who is battling a depressive state or people with psychomotor syndromes, and those with little income in the AMSIF Foundation ? Mexican Association for Integral Family Advancement. We want to transmit sensations of peace and to develop the person's abilities, and what better way than through the arts?

"I continue learning and creating new ways to express my ideas and to share them."
