This hand crafted wood and plaster retablo presented by artisan Jose Ramos of Peru fuses the traditional nativity scene with the joy of an Andean festival. Graceful three-dimensional flowers and vines cover both sides of the doors. Inside, a host of Andean musicians celebrate the baby in the manger with Mary and Joseph lovingly looking on. The entire diorama is awash in shades of blue, from turquoise to navy, setting the scene of a joyous night.

Truly beautiful and unique
I love this nativity and it occupies a cherished spot on my mantel for Christmas. Looks handmade and the unusual colors are beautiful. My one issue was that two of the very delicate pieces had broken off when it arrived. I was able to glue them back on just fine, but I think the teeny tiny styrofoam pellets are not the best packing material for inside the retablo. They also went ALL over my house! Not a big problem and I love the piece
