Smoking a pipe, an enigmatic face is hand-carved of rubberwood and accentuated with embossed aluminum. Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu designs the mask, working diligently to carve and paint it. He names the mask Akinyi, meaning 'born in the morning' in an eastern African language.
